When something is fun for the players they are happier and when they are happier they give more effort.  

These unprecedented days have a silver lining: more time to learn, something important for coaches and players alike.

There are plenty of opportunities to improve your game, even if you don't have anyone to work out with!

My coaching felt rehearsed. My expectations and goals felt predetermined. And before I knew it, I realized I had somehow adopted someone else’s philosophy. 

Embrace a growth mindset and go for it! You can be a much better passer, and with enough effort and purposeful practice, you will be. 

Volleyball is a game to play with friends; but what if no one is around to practice?

Part of caring about your kids is knowing their names, yet having not selected my team, I will be putting their faces to their names on the court for the first time. 

Another key is understanding that the low seam is almost never available. Avoid it! Better options are hitting high hands or tooling out of bounds for the point. 

No matter the activity or the body part we’re analyzing, a proper warm-up is essential! We need to prep our tissues for the work ahead of them.
